The plan: a photo shoot for the forthcoming second album from 'Darkest Era'

The result: a series of 'move along' requests from farmers and land owners, and a fair amount of driving before finding the perfect location in a farm/workhouse.

Either way it was an honour to be asked to make portraits with Darkest Era again, and it resulted in another great day out with old friends (and some new ones too).  Obviously the images will be held back until the band/record label are ready to release them, but here are few photographs from the day:

The Limelight, 26/3/2011

Launching their debut album, The Last Caress of Light, Darkest Era drew in a record breaking crowd on a sunny Saturday to the Limelight, Belfast. Sublimely supported by Steel Tormentor, Sirocco, Sorrowfall, as well as venerable horde of fans, friends, and well wishers, the day was passed in good company. This was truly a launch to remember.

New Darkest Era Promo Photos

So, it has been a while since the photos were taken (see my original post for more information on the shoot- here!). The band and label have been busying on with details and red-tape for the release of Darkest Era's much anticipated debut album, 'The Last Caress of Light'. Now that things are steaming ahead the new promotional photos can be, at long last, released. Having photographed the band exclusively I can honestly say that the new batch of images really show how we have all matured and developed as artists - I could not be happier with how the photos came out!
